You don’t need your whole life figured out…
As I get into my later 20s, one of the things I keep seeing is the effect of societal expectations on people.
The other day, my friend who was 26, was feeling self conscious about being single and feeling like she wasn’t going to be married before 30.
She felt like even if she got into a relationship this year, she would want to be with her partner for at least 4 years before getting married which meant the earlier she was getting married is 31.
And it really made me realize how ingrained our societal expectations are on our happiness.
Though it is incredibly hard, stop worrying about societal expectations. Live your life to make sure you’re happy.
Stop feeling like you need to look good to your peers or to your parents.
As long as you’re internally good, that’s all that matters.
