Thoughts are not facts

Thoughts are not facts.

One of the interesting things about the thoughts in our mind is we believe them to be true.

But we have to realize that’s not true.

Our thoughts tend to be more self-critical than actuality.

For example, we might think in our heads I’m not interesting that interesting of a person.

We have to realize though, no matter who you are, you are interesting.

There is no one in the world like you and there will be no one in the world that is ever you. Therefore, this is idea that we are not interesting is in fact just a self critical thought.

When evaluating thoughts, what I try to do is either write them down and evaluate them later or say them out loud to a friend and get their opinion? I.e. I’m thinking this is true about me, what do you think?
