Stop dwelling. Act and try to improve your situation

This past week, 2 people rescheduled recording the podcast with me.

There’s a couple ways I could react to that, right?

  1. I can sit here, and be like “Oh man, these 2 people are screwing me over and putting me in a tough position to post content.”
  2. Or I can say, “I understand rescheduling is part of the game. I know that any time I schedule a recording with someone, there’s a possibility of rescheduling.”

This is a situation particular to me and my circumstances, but the lesson of how we react to things that happen in our life applies more broadly:

You can sit and complain about your situation or you can get up, be smarter, act on your situation and try to improve your situation.

For me, I can say to myself I need to improve my scheduling habits and make sure I schedule more than 2 interviews a week so that even if both reschedule, I still have content for that week, something like that.

In every problem you think you have, there’s an opportunity to become better.

Fortify yourself — be prepared for positive and negative outcomes, analyze what you’re doing and make observations, and try to be better than you already are.
