Stop being so hard on yourself when trying something for the first time.

The other day, I was talking to a friend, and she was talking about trying to build journaling as a habit.

And she was like I just tried it yesterday, but I was all over the place, it didn’t feel organized, it felt really scattered.

I figure for most people, their journals are organized. I guess I’m not good at journaling.

Be easy on yourself when you’re first starting something.

It’s going to feel weird and different. Do it for some time period before you make a final evaluation.

Also, realize we all use tools in our life differently.

Take running — people run different distances, different paces, different times of day. Some run with people. Some run alone. Though many people run in general, running serves a different purpose for each individual.

In the same way, whatever task it is — let it serve you however it’s meant to serve you. No need to compare with others or judge yourself.
