Performance/service quality is a differentiator when it comes to business

Performance is a differentiator.

The other day, I was looking to hire a service provider for something.

I brought my list down to 2 different companies who offered nearly identical services.

Before I made a purchasing decision, I wanted to ask a couple questions/address concerns to both companies.

The first company I called — their customer service was okay.

The second company — the customer service rep was a lot more helpful.

Guess what? When it came down to purchasing, I went with the second company.

Why? Because I thought, if I have a problem, these people will be more willing to help.

Everyone today is seemingly worried about the craziest innovation ideas, what products/services can we offer, and what’s going to revolutionize our business.

Sometimes though, business can be much more simple and fundamental — whoever provides better service ends up winning the business.
