“The people who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world, are the ones who do.” — Steve Jobs

On March 10, 2020 I was crazy enough to sit in my car and record a podcast episode titled “The importance of self-care.” You can hear it in my voice that I was nervous, I was scared — I didn’t know what I was doing and I really didn’t know if it would help anyone.

Yesterday, 7 months into the journey and around 30 episodes later, I hit 1000 plays on my podcast.

More than that, what has made this journey incredibly meaningful is the messages people have sent supporting the content. Within just the month of October, I received texts from 13 people.

Finding purposeful work, finding work people find value in has been one of the best things that has happened to me in my life.

The supportive text messages I receive make me emotional every time I see them and make me so happy I’m doing this

I write this post not to toot my own horn, but to inspire others. I hope by seeing me trying to make change right where I’m planted, that you are inspired to do the same with your life.

No matter how big or how small, if you really want to make a difference, make a difference.

I understand people can’t always start something as public as a podcast because they don’t want to risk hurting their professional career. I understand that. But there’s other ways you can change the world.

Raise money for cancer research by walking a virtual 5k, volunteer some of your time once a week to a non-profit, donate food to a food pantry, donate money to a non-profit, treat people who you interact with kindness, whatever you are passionate about, make a change in that area.

Small positive changes added up creates large positive change.

I want to also thank everyone who has supported me, who has directly reached out to me, who has liked a post, subscribed to the podcast or my YouTube channel, thank you from the bottom of my heart. I will continue with this Grateful Living platform as long as I can, I promise that to you all

Finally, I want to take time to remember and thank Trevor Kononenko, Pat Gregorek and Meg Durand 🙏🏽 for their impact on my life.

I hope you’re proud of me and all the people who are part of the platform helping others

All the work I do is done in remembrance of you guys ❤️

May we never forget you, may we always remember your selflessness, your love, your smiles and all the memories we shared with you

Trevor Kononenko, Pat Gregorek and Meg Durand. All the Grateful Living work is done in honor of them.
