How are you defining success?

A couple weekends ago, I went out with a friend. The morning after, I ended up seeing himself and I said how do you feel the night was?

And he said Ehh, it was okay. And I was surprised. I thought we had a great night.

As I pushed him, I learned for my friend — when he was going out, he defined success as getting a girls number or going back home with them. So, any night that that didn’t happen, he wasn’t happy.

For me, I define a successful night as having a good time, dancing, being with friends, just enjoying the night. If I meet a girl or get her number, that’s just an added bonus to the night.

I’m not saying that one way or thought process is better. We all have our own motivations in life.

But I am saying, reflect on how are you defining success? Are you looking at it the right way?
