Are you auditing what you’re consuming?

What you’re consuming is something you need to audit and evaluate.

The other day, I was talking to a friend. She was saying she would get into sad moods after work and she was wondering if I had any advice?

For me, her mood was probably either being caused by her work or what she was doing after work.

I knew she decently likes her job so I didn’t think that was the problem.

So, I asked her a simple question — on your commute back home after work, what do you do?

She said, I listen to music.

I responded, What type of music have you been listening to?

Lately, some sadder songs to be honest.

It’s hard to be self-aware about what you consume but realize, if you listen to sad songs, breakup songs, your mood afterwards will probably be sad too.

In order to break those negative cycles, you have to challenge yourself to change what you’re consuming.

Instead of listening to sadder songs, maybe listen to positive songs instead and then look at your mood.
